Project and Submission Requirements

Projects must address one of the four official Taiwan challenge tracks:

• Family Support Systems

• Long-Term Care

• Cognitive Resilience

• Climate and Disaster Resilience

Projects should address a meaningful real-world problem and demonstrate a working prototype, demo, or proof of concept.

Teams are encouraged to use real Taiwan-related data, including government open data, public APIs, civic datasets, or other relevant sources, and to use Lovable as their building platform.

Each team must submit one project on Devpost before the submission deadline. The submission should include:

• Project name

• Selected challenge track

• Problem statement

• Description of the proposed solution

• Target users or communities

• Prototype or demo link

• Screenshots, mockups, or demo video

• Technology, datasets, APIs, and tools used

• Team member names and roles

• Potential impact and next steps

Each team must also give a short final presentation. The pitch should explain the problem, the solution, how the prototype works, and why it could create meaningful impact.

Teams will have up to 90 seconds to pitch their project.

Participants may use Lovable, AI-assisted development tools, APIs, open-source software, datasets, and other third-party services, provided that they follow the relevant terms and licenses.

To be eligible for Lovable-related prizes, the project must have been built using Lovable.

Participants retain ownership of their work, subject to the terms of any third-party tools, datasets, APIs, libraries, or services used.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated by the judging panel according to the following criteria:

• Problem fit: Does the project address a real and meaningful problem within the selected track?

• Impact potential: Who benefits from the project, and could it create value beyond the hackathon?

• Prototype execution: Does the prototype work, and what did the team achieve within the available build time?

• Use of open data: Does the project make meaningful use of relevant Taiwan-related data where appropriate?

• Clarity of pitch: Does the team communicate the problem, solution, and value clearly within the time limit?

Final results will combine judges’ scores and audience voting.

The judging panel will account for 70% of the final result. Audience voting will account for the remaining 30%.

Each checked-in attendee will receive three votes and may not vote for their own team.

The first-, second-, and third-place winners will be selected from across all challenge tracks.

In the event of a tie, the team with the higher Impact Potential score will rank higher. If a tie remains, audience votes will be used as the deciding factor.

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate these rules, the event code of conduct, applicable laws, or the terms of third-party tools and services.
